ARNOLD PALMER SAVES CHRISTMAS. Each year on Christmas, some children must celebrate from their hospital room. But this year was different as Arnold Palmer calls in a favor of an old friend to help solve this problem. We created this story to help the world experience how the team at Arnold Palmer Hospital provides joy and hope for children on Christmas morning.
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children came to us with a vision to share their life changing stories to inspire hope and to deepen relationships with their community. As a National leader in pediatric healthcare, Arnold Palmer Hospital exists to provide compassionate and excellent care to the children and families they serve. Each day, dozens of amazing stories happen within the walls of the hospital. Our partnership has helped them become storytelling pioneers & leaders in the healthcare industry.
The client’s main challenge was to continue to share the impact of their brand in new and innovative ways. Perhaps though, the greater challenge was to make sure that in the process we didn’t accidentally expose the true identity of Santa. Our challenge was multifaceted: we were given only 20 minutes to film Mr. Palmer, we had one shot at filming Santa in the helicopter, we had to film a few days before Christmas, as well as (early) Christmas morning to capture the real reactions of the kids. And, we had to deliver within 48 hours, which we accomplished a day early.
Within a few days of release, the film gained over 40,000 views. It was also picked up by the Golf Channel, CBSSports.com, and the PGA Tour social media channels. Arnold Palmer Saves Christmas was awarded Marketing Video of the Year by Ragan Communications. This year, we are looking forward to seeing what kind of impact the film can make as we share it at the beginning of the Holiday season.
