SONNY’S RANDOM ACTS OF BBQ. A humble and much deserving business owner receives a random act of kindness in the form of a surprise BBQ. Leslie started her own candy company to give her daughter and others with special needs to have a great place to work. Sonny’s launched Random Acts of BBQ as a means to recognize individuals for their positive contribution in their communities. To introduce Random Acts of BBQ, Sonny’s needed an inspiring and high energy approach to the first story.

Sonny’s BBQ is a barbecue restaurant chain founded in 1968 with over 120 restaurants across nine Southern states. Sonny’s exemplifies the heart of Southern hospitality: treating others as themselves. They design everything they do from the belief that people should be able to go out to eat while still feeling at home. Push, Sonny’s advertising agency, brought us in to help them keep pushing the Sonny’s brand to a new level.

Kickoff a Feel Good Campaign
Sonny’s was ready to launch an awesome new initiative called Random Acts of BBQ. Because of our experience and approach with feel good stories, Push brought us in to do our thing with the inaugural Random Act of BBQ. Since this was a one time thing, there were no do overs. We had one shot at everything, and were able to pull it off without a hitch.
