UF MBA: TRANSFORMING INTO LEADERS. The leadership of the University of Florida MBA program gave us an opportunity to help them do things differently in their highly competitive and saturated industry. Choosing between MBA schools is one of the most important life decisions one can make. Why? It requires a huge investment in time, energy, and finances. It’s a decision that’s made only once. Most importantly, the value of a MBA is not only what is learned but also who you become in the process. The case competitions are just one of many examples of how students transform into leaders in ways they never expected.
The
Client
University of Florida
The University of Florida is a top ranking public US university. UF is the oldest organization we’ve worked with, founded over 160 years prior. The MBA program also carries the same caliber as the larger school. The MBA higher ed industry is very competitive and saturated. Most schools make great claims to potential students, which makes it even more difficult to truly stand apart.
The
Challenge
Show Intangible ROI
The challenge for UF was to show the personal transformation their students experience during the program. As filmmakers, one challenge was to tell the story of an event that had already taken place — limiting our use of b-roll. Secondly, because the students were graduating shortly, we had very little time to plan and pull it off. Fortunately, we did.
The
Impact
First Step in a New Direction
The initial reaction from the client was the best we could hear. They said we captured who they really are and what truly makes them different. This would be a big step in a new direction for helping future MBA candidates to make their life changing decision from both an intellectual ROI as well as a personal growth ROI.
